Tax Accountant

Refresco, the world’s largest independent soft drinks producer, seeks a qualified, commercially minded Tax Accountant to produce on time reporting of all corporation tax returns, accurate monthly reporting so that we achieve our goal of no tax non-compliance issues

About the Role
As Tax Accountant at Refresco UK you will report into our Financial Accounting Controller and ensure the correct accounting and controls are followed and fit for purpose, for corporate and indirect tax within Refresco UK. You will receive support from external tax specialists and engage with and communicate to the business when changes to relevant legislation or complex matters arise.
As Tax Accountant, here are some of your key duities and

responsibilities:

* Review and timely filing of Corporate Tax, VAT, Alcohol and Soft Drinks returns as well as quarterly and annual tax reporting to Refresco Holdings;
* Accounting for all of the above returns, ensuring that all records are maintained;
* Supporting compliance and optimisation of import/export processes and associated duties;
* Responsibility for the taxation elements of the Refresco UK import/export process post Brexit;
* Managing monthly tax accounting together with the Financial Accounting Controller and liaison with the Group Tax Manager;
* Ensure insurance information is maintained and claims are processed;
* Actively contributing towards our goal of becoming a Great Place to Work®.

About You
You will be an experienced, qualified accountant with significant exposure to financial tax accounting and reporting within an ever-changing, agile and fast-paced environment. You will be measured on accurate, on-time reporting of all Corporation tax returns, on-time, accurate monthly reporting and absolute compliance with relevant tax laws. You will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with quality experience in tax-focused appointments and experience of strategic dealings with HMRC. In addition, you will be a strong communicator with exceptional people skills and inspired by our Refresco Values.

The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
