Our client operates within the professional services sector and has a permanent time vacancy for an Accounts Assistant. The role can be full or part time, but you must have experience within legal services.

The Role:

• Dealing with client accounting and adhering to SRA accounts code

• Checking bank statements

• Posting monies in and out on client ledger

• Processing BACs and CHAPs payments

• Balancing completion statements

• Dealing with daily completions of sale and purchases transactions

• Submitting stamp duty returns to HMRC/WRX and ensuring payments are made to HMRC/WRA in line with the required time.

• Dealing with queries from other departments within the company

• Dealing with aged balances

• Making payments to third parties

• Reconciliation of accounts and ledgers

Requirements:

• Excellent communications skills

• Ability to problem solve

• Exceptional attention to details

• Experience of sale and Purchase ledgers

• Experience in a similar role within a busy accounts department is desirable

• Professional attitude

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of the SRA codes

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel and outlook
