A highly-successful and well-established IT business located in the Basingstoke area is looking for an ambitious Credit Controller to join their fast-growing Credit Management team. Over the past decade this business has seen outstanding success, leading to fast growth and the title of being one of the most successful businesses internationally. They have become a market leader in their industry and partner with some exceptional prolific companies in their work. As a result of this continued growth and excellence, the company have found the need to expand their core functions, including their Credit Management team and are hoping to identify an extremely ambitious and like-minded individual who came amalgamate themselves in the team and add real value to the company moving forwards as they inevitably continue to expand.

Your Role and

Responsibilities:

While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:

Contacting customers by making phone calls daily and also writing emails/letters for due and overdue balances
Contributing to the development of existing Credit Control procedures and driving down aged debt
Solving payment disputes and communicating with clients where necessary to secure prompt payment(s)
Promptly identifying, recording, and following up any customer queries with colleagues to ensure these are resolved effectively
Escalating to the Credit Control Manager any issues that impact upon the timely collection of overdue accounts
Being able to identify and escalate any difficult clients to issue Letter Before Action
Perform against targets individually whilst contributing to the overall productivity of the team What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous credit control experience and also possess very strong communication skills in speaking with members of the public, potentially in difficult conversations, both over the phone and via email/letter. You will need to be organised and analytical and have a good solution-focused method to your approach in order to address issues as they arrive and ensure that the business keeps moving forwards financially.
