HR & Payroll Transactions Officer
Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a leading public sector organization based in Bedford which is looking for an experienced HR & Payroll Transactions Officer to join their team. The post holder will ensure all work types are processed accurately within specified HR/Payroll deadlines and that contractual/employment documentation is accurately produced and issued within the timeframe set by current employment legislation and local policies/procedures and SLAs.
The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £14.42 p/h. it is 3 months contract initially
Duties/Requirements
* You will ensure redundancy payments are accurate and paid in a timely manner.
* You will To ensure deductions are calculated correctly and paid over to third parties by the due date.
* You will ensure the Council fulfils its legal duty set by the Pensions Regulator.
* You will ensure a high quality service is delivered to customers.
Experience
* Must be educated to NVQ level 3 or A level equivalent with well-developed numeracy skills and demonstrate the ability to undertake calculations that at times may be complex in nature.
* Must have significant experience and good working knowledge of Payroll and HR with a thorough understanding of HR/Payroll policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment pertaining to the varied workforce of the Council and Traded Services clients.
* Must have considerable experience of using a complex integrated HR and Payroll system with advanced IT skills and experience of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
* Must demonstrate the ability to positively adapt to change and new working practices and procedures.
* Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a busy highly stressful HR/Payroll environment and to logically prioritise work with conflicting demands to achieve strict deadlines.
* Must have good customer service skills with the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
