Permanent - Full Time

The Role

My client have a newly created Payroll Manager position to lead their growing Payroll team on a permanent, full time basis. The main responsibility of this role is to oversee and support the Payroll team, improve processes and be the point of contact for any system queries.

Key duties and responsibilities

Provide guidance and support to all levels of managers and staff on all Payroll and billing issues.
Overseeing the processing of the payroll.
Oversee the Payroll Supervisor and support where required
Continuous audit of payroll practices and policies
Work with the business on solutions to improve payroll and billing for clients
Play a key role in the review of software requirements and redesign to drive efficiencies
Provide training updates on payroll processes
Responsible for keeping up to date with all HMRC and legislative updates

Skills & Experience

Extensive payroll knowledge and experience of processing large volume payrolls
Experience of change management
Strong IT skills including MS Excel and time & attendance solutions
Management experience
Effective communicator
Experience of systems design and implementation

Education & Qualifications

Professional payroll qualification (CIPP Diploma or equivalent)
