Accountancy Business Change Manager

Akton Resourcing are looking for an Accountancy Business Change Manager who will work within Housing Accountancy incorporating both the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and the Housing General Fund which incorporates Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Community Safety.

Key Responsibilities include:

Monthly Budget Monitoring for the HRA and GF
Closure of Accounts
Statement of Accounts for the HRA
Budgets - including the 30 Year HRA Business Plan
Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) Planning
Statutory Returns
The role also works closely with the Finance and Commercial Manager of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO)This role is one of 13 staff that manage the Accountancy Business Partnership Services at an operational level and support the Heads of Accounting and Business Change in the Strategic delivery of the Accountancy Business Partnership Service functions of.

* ensuring the Accountancy Function is effectively integrated within the Directorate / Council, being a driver for business change throughout the Council.

* ensuring that operational efficiencies are achieved within the legal and statutory frameworks.

* promoting and championing the values set out in the Service's Business Plan.

* ensuring that the service is an integral part in delivering the section 151 requirements within the Council thus, meeting statutory obligations
