Marks Sattin has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a fast-growing AIM listed Professional Services business in Central London. This is a great opportunity to play a major part in a dynamic and evolving business through organic growth as well significant M&A activity.

A critical role within the Group Finance team with responsibility for financial reporting for the Group, leading a team to prepare accurate and timely monthly and half-yearly reporting. You will report to the Group Finance Director and lead the finance function.

You will responsible for all Group accounting operations, as well as supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Group. You will also support preparation of the monthly board pack reports, as well as leading the Group on the preparation of Group consolidation under IFRS.

As a result of the rapid growth of the Group we are moving to migrate transactional finance activity to a central team. As a key person involved in this transition, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiency initiatives and financial controls. This in particular is a key measurement of success for the Group Finance function.

The business is expanding across the UK and is seeking to rapidly grow through an ambitious buy and build strategy. Working in partnership with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, you will be crucial to the execution of this strategy, and will ensure the successful integration and consolidation of acquisitions and the ongoing systems and processes to support them.

Exceptional leadership, communications skills and proven track record of developing and building teams is key. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to lead the high-performing finance function of a growing professional services business, fulfilling its significant national growth potential.

The ideal candidate:

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• 7-10+ years post-qualification experience needed.

• Line management of teams essential.

• Experience of goal setting and communicating strategy essential

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Creative and dynamic – with problem-solving aptitude
