LAVOIE (MA Micro Limited) is a subsidiary of Mclaren Applied which focuses on the design, manufacture, and distribution of premium high performance ultra-light electric vehicles. Our product offering consists in ebikes and escooters with innovative features in performance, design and connectivity.
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant, who can take the lead in collecting, recording and analysing our financial data. We are expanding and looking for someone that could help and bring valuable experience with regards to managing the finances of a rapidly growing corporate start-up.
This role will involve work on all financial aspects of the company. You will be the bridge between Lavoie and the McLaren Applied finance and accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Collecting and recording Financial data
• Establish compliance control procedures and ensure compliance
• Be the primary contact between Lavoie and the McLaren Applied finance department
• Analyse financial data and provide valuable insights
• Advise the company on financial related matters and budgeting
• Aid in the update of financial models and forecasts
• Maintain accounts and apply best practices.
• Be an integral part of the Lavoie team
Requirements:
• Proven work experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience and knowledge using XERO and various other accounting software
• BSC+ in a field related to accounting and finance.
• Experience working in small rapidly growing companies
• Good attention to details and high standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment which can require learning new skills and taking charge as needed.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and other accounting theory, principles and practices to include GAAP
• Knowledge and experience in Tax processes
