This is a great opportunity for a financial controller within the marketing/creative services industry to broaden their skills by working across a portfolio of clients. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Our client provides internal finance functions on a part time basis to companies in the Marketing Communications Industry. Disciplines include Design, PR, Events, Marketing, Advertising and Digital. They service these clients by putting either individuals or teams into the client’s premises on a part time basis to perform all the functions traditionally performed by a finance department.

The company has experienced a high level of growth recently and is therefore looking to expand its team. The team is young and dynamic and has a strong can-do culture. The company works with clients who are mostly based in Central London and will require most of the work to be done on-site at the client premises (COVID restrictions permitting)

The Role of the financial controller:

• All aspects of the finance function up to and including producing Management Accounts and Reports
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Budgets
• Reporting to the Managing Director
• Liaising with Directors of client companies
• Working either alone or with an Accounts Assistant
• VAT calculations and filing
• Preparing year end data for external accountants
• Working with client companies to increase commercial awareness

The financial controller will have the following skills/experience:

• 5 years+ experience in a finance function
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
• Good experience in Marketing Communications industry
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to work with company directors and owner/managers
• Paprika Software experience would be preferable
• Experience as a stand-alone or heading a finance team, ideally in a small company setting
• Good communication skills, especially with non-financial people
