Reporting to the Head of Finance for C3PR and SF&I, you will help manage and execute the finance strategy for the Sustainable Finance & Investment business in D&A. You will support the business leadership team and partner with stakeholders across the organisation including Technology, Sales & Account Management and Operations. You will be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and have a track record of business partnering and problem solving.

As a Group Strategic Objective, Sustainable Finance is an area of key focus for the Group with high growth ambitions. This role will provide all financial information to support the D&A Sustainable Finance team in meeting its objectives and drive informed business decision-making. The role will assist senior management in achieving budgeted and strategic financial goals.

Additionally this role will also be working across the D&A Finance team supporting key strategic initiatives as these arise. The nature of this work will be varied and changing, with exposure to the CFO D&A as well as the wider D&A leadership team.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and work with the teams to provide value added insight. An interest in Sustainability and Sustainable Finance is important.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
  • Assist with any strategic decision making that requires financial input, as a valued member of the growing SF&I team.
  • Work with the business to drive and own business performance, including revenues and sales analysis, investment reporting, strategic planning, commercial support etc.
  • Represent Finance in monthly business forums such as the Business Operations Team Meeting, ensuring a finance perspective is provided to influence outcomes.
  • Use knowledge of underlying trends, future business plans and external market factors to assist with the composition of short-term forecasts (current financial year), budgets (next financial year) and 3 year plans.
  • Quantify and clearly articulate how a certain action will impact various financial and operational metrics.
  • Challenge and makes recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of new divisional initiatives.
  • Provide financial advice and judgement to business management teams.
  • Support the financial workstream of D&A Strategic initiatives as required
  • Work with Group Strategy to produce regular competitor insights and market intelligence to aid D&A decision-making
  • Prepare financial analysis and performance updates for the Board and Investors as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience across different areas of finance and able to demonstrate progression through various finance roles and experiences
  • Experience in driving change and a track record of effective communication, succinct messaging and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly build and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical, organisational and project management skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification
  • Commercially minded and able to influence change across finance and related functions
  • Experience in a business partnering finance role within a global and matrixed organisation
  • Expert level with MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint)
