Our client is seeking a talented Client Finance Director to head up their client reporting teams. This role spans across our two contract models with overall accountability for delivering (through a wider team) the client reporting packs for more than 160+ properties with a combined rent roll of more than 300m. In addition to this core function the Client Finance Director will oversee operational processes. A key deliverable in this role is the successful mobilisation and demobilisation of properties as well as managing our operational internal auditing process. This role will be a great addition our senior leadership team, a team of high-performing business leaders with specific areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Motivating and inspiring the client finance team to ensure that they are working towards the same goals, efficient and consistent in their approach and therefore delivering to the requirements of our client base and operational teams.
  • Implement and evolve robust financial systems and reporting.
  • Senior escalation for client queries/requests and diarising regular meetings and touch points with key clients and other stakeholders.
  • Create a collaborative team that understand companywide pressures and deliver to process deadlines for our all customers.
  • Advising the Senior Leadership Team on all matters relating to financial performance and provide support and guidance on financial strategies and plans.
  • To maintain and continue to develop robust processes and projects and work these through with senior leadership colleagues.
  • Accountability for performance against company business objectives relating to client Finance.
  • Lead the team to deliver on client property mobilisations/demobilisations relating to finance elements.
  • Report to the wider business against process deliverables so that key stakeholders have all the information needed to update their teams and customers
  • To ensure the provision of appropriate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing financial awareness across the company and deliver support to the wider client lead roles to continuously improve client service.
  • Take a lead role in all operational issues relating to Finance and work on key projects for continuous improvement.
  • ensure compliance with all statutory reporting, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • To Support and maintain best practice in regard to GDPR.
  • Management of Internal Operational company audits and process.
  • Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation and
  • To keep up to date with industry initiatives to enable best practice to be always adopted at all times

  • Proven experience with spread sheets and financial programs.

  • Ability to successfully handle several priorities simultaneously, maintain composure in high pressure situations and maintain objectivity, focus and good judgment.
  • To promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of accruals and prepayments and experience in the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Thorough understanding of all commercial aspects of contracts.
  • Excellent presentation, attention to detail and ability to complete tasks.

Experience and Qualifications
  • A qualified Accountant, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or QBE with 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience of working within all areas of the finance function.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance computer software with Navision preferred.
