Finance Assistant
Pay: £10.60 - £13.18, 37 hours per week
Location:
New Shire Hall, Alconbury - hybrid and fully remote work might be considered (this would be discussed on the interview)
Initially for 3 months with potential to be extended for up to a year.

Opus People Solutions are looking for our next talented individual to join an experienced, busy Social & Education Transport Team within Cambridgeshire Council.
As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible to provide effective and timely financial management information for relevant budget holders, including detailed explanations of budget variations and identifying areas of spend where remedial action can be taken to aid those managers in managing their budgets.
We are looking for someone who has experience working on finance systems (ideally ERP), is able to keep the general ledger up to date, data entry, process batch payments and is highly experienced on excel spreadsheets.
The ideal candidate will be fully competent in desktop applications ( spreadsheet and word processing) and have excellent knowledge of excel. Ability to collate and present financial information and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
