Our client – a manufacturer based in Market Harborough – is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time interim basis (initially up to 3-months, possible temp-2-perm). The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Entering financial data onto MS Excel and Xero,
Posting to purchase and sales ledgers,
Invoice reconciliations / reconciling accounts at regular intervals,
Locating / tracking invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records,
Assisting with the preparation / posting of bi-monthly payment runs,
Assisting with credit control,
Staff expenses & credit card reconciliations,
Monthly physical stock checks / reconciliation,
Supporting and providing financial data and/or reporting to management for auditing,
Keeping financial records organised and easy to access,
Checking for data entry errors and potential fraud.
The Right Person

Immediately available / on short notice,
Previous accounting experience within an SME environment,
A background within a manufacturing environment preferred,
High level of commitment, positive attitude, flexible and proactive,
Effective communication skills liaising with internal and external stakeholders,
Excellent planning, organisation and deadline time keeping skills,
Ability to identify opportunities and implement process improvements,
Good IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Xero preferred.
Package

Appointment Type: Interim (initially up to 3-months but likely to be extended... possible temp-2-perm)
Rate: £11.00 – £13.50 per hour (subject to experience)
Hours: Full-Time
