Finance Manager | Outskirts of Maidstone Office Based | £55k - £75k DOE

This is a superb opportunity to join a large, multi-faceted, owner managed business who have an enviable reputation across Kent and the South East. Working in their Kent based Head Office within a highly regarded finance team, this role will lead a team of five, and be responsible for delivering timely and accurate month end reporting for the business.

This role will be predominantly office based, and will take responsibility for leading the finance team, working closely with the Finance Director and wider business in addition to:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting working papers including Balance Sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers, accruals and prepayments for multiple entities within multiple Group businesses
  • Providing support to the Finance Director on budgets and forecasts
  • Preparing VAT returns/reconciliations and submissions using making tax digital
  • Payroll support and analysis
  • Inter-company reconciliations & postings
  • Preparation of schedules for audit and communicating with the Auditors
  • Cover and general support for sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll and the wider finance team
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required to support the Finance Director and the wider senior management team including business improvement reporting and analysis
  • Assist in reporting on cashflows both historic and forecasts
  • Companies House filings, ONS and Client Surveys
  • Support during the planning and implementation of a new Business System

About you:

You will need to have previous experience within a large, fast paced, product based business to be considered for this role.
  • Qualified (or qualified by experience) with a proven track record of attention to detail, producing accurate work and meeting deadlines in a support role
  • Must be computer literate (all Microsoft packages)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A professional, diligent and friendly manner
  • A team player with a flexible and pro-active attitude towards working
