We have a brand new opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a thriving import and wholesale business in Manchester City Centre. This company has just had a record turnover year and sales were positively impacted by the pandemic.
The team are really stable, people love the family feel of this business and the fact that the business owners and senior leaders are very visible personable and approachable.
This person will be solely responsible for the end-to-end credit control process.
You must have experience within a trade business and have the commercial acumen to deal with order management (credit check; orders release /account put on stop etc) Liaising with the sales team, chasing overdue payments, dealing with debit notes and queries, allocating payments, investigating unallocated cash, reporting as required - generally managing the ledger. An eye for process improvement would also be useful.
The client base is largely made up of key accounts, as well as a number of smaller businesses.
Some element of hybrid working is available if desired, once up to speed with systems and processes (2 days per week from home).
Working hours are 9.30 - 5.30, there may be some degree of flexibility on occasion. Holidays are 28 days including bank hols plus your birthday off but there is the option to buy additional days. You'll also get regular access to stock sales , every other month or so where you can buy hugely discounted items.
