Description:

We're currently looking for a Senior Fixed assets and General Ledger Analyst for the Darlington site.
Initial assignment duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension
This is a hybrid role, workers will be required to be onsite 1 day per week on average so local candidates are preferred.
For this role we're considering graduates with an Accounting or Finance degree or someone who is part qualified.
We're looking for someone dynamic who's willing to support the GL, FA and Maintenance lead where necessary,
Every day will be different as they will be working on either GL, Fixed Assets, accounting element, customer master piece,...
Experience working in and with large companies is a big plus.
Team player attitude is a must.Job Summary :

Responsible for reconciliation and adjustment of various general ledger and fixed asset accounts.

Prepares related financial reports and statements

Key Responsibilities :

Compiles, consolidates, and conducts basic analysis of accounting and finance information.
Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
Makes accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.
Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities.
Examines a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards.
Prepares tables, charts, and other exhibits for reports.
May perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects.

Qualifications and Competencies

Education, Licenses, Qualifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field requiredExperience

Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study requiredAdditional Skills and Responsibilities :

Manage Fixed Asset Maintenance
Manage monthly Fixed Asset Subledger Close process and Mass Copy to Tax book
Assist with the Management of General Ledger Maintenance
Support project implementations/improvements when required
Support General ledger & Fixed Asset daily & month end activities
Review, investigate and resolve issues relating to maintenance queries.
Ensure accuracy of reporting in multiple currencies and the conversion techniques to US$
Support month end accounting consolidation and US$ submission process for CMI entities' results globally
Promote common accounting by maintaining global setups and reporting with high quality.
Ensure SOx documentation is maintained in accordance with current processes and controls, and support on audit requirements.
Ensure SLA's are met.
Must be flexible in approach and a team player.
Maintain excellent customer service with all CBSE customers and suppliers.
Key point of contact and support to work outsourced to 3rd party (TCS)
Ensure all monthly reconciliations are completed to deadline and reviewed as necessary
Ensure all work instructions are accurately documented and reviewed as required.
