YOU Recruit is working with a company based in West Yorkshire to support their recruitment needs by sourcing an experienced Management Accountant. This position will be based at their manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire, which is also their head office. To apply for this role, you will need to have had experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing facility and managed project accounting.

What’s on offer:

HOURS: 37 Hour Contract

DAYS: Monday – Friday (Hybrid working available)

CONTRACT: Permanent position

What you’ll be getting up too:

Being a Management Accountant at our client typically involves financial reporting and accounting, including but not limited to:

* Ensuring the timely preparation of all aspects of the monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments

* Preparing project accounting/revenue recognition schedules

* Review of monthly MI and explaining financial results and variances to budget to the management team

* Support in the preparation of the annual budget, monitoring performance against budget and quarterly review/revisions to the forecast

* Overseeing day to day cash management and cash forecasting

* Building relationships with key customers and suppliers

* Reviewing labour bookings and other costs to projects

* Completion of monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC

* Improve reporting systems and processes, with the output being enhanced KPI’s, specifically for GM and contract profit information

* Generate and analyse weekly/monthly KPI reports

* Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts

* Able to react quickly and prioritise business needs.

* Ad hoc tasks and special projects for the executive management team

What we’re looking for:

* Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)

* Reacts quickly and can assimilate and prioritise business needs as an organised self-starter

* Demonstrable experience at a financial analyst/management accountant level

* Experience of using accounting package essential, with previous SAGE (50 or 200) experience highly desirable

* Excellent excel skills, required for data analysis and reporting trends

* Previous experience at contract accounting/revenue recognition is preferable

* Experience of invoice financing is preferable

* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or construction setting is highly desirable

* Experience in financial reporting and analysis, tracking and managing costs against a budget, and tracking P&L results is essential

* Demonstrable business partnering experience is preferable

* Commercial astuteness and can verbalise business operations confidently

* Effective and personable communication and relationship building skills

* Good presentation skills
