Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group have the pleasure of handling the recruitment of a permanent Assistant Accountant, working for a growing and ambitious SME company based on the Bolton. This is a newly created role, so a great chance for an experienced individual to make the role their own and have the support and mentoring, from the Finance Manager. Due to continual company growth, they are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and provide support across a variety of finance projects. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager.

The role:

* Supporting the Finance Manager with daily duties and month end process

* Posting month end journals

* Profit and loss cost analysis

* Preparation of supplier payment runs

* Daily and monthly banking and reconciliation of bank accounts, including daily cash report preparation

* Supplier statement reconciliations

* Month end reconciliations

* VAT return and reconciliations

* Cash, Sales and KPI reporting

* Credit Control, including raising sales invoices

* Posting bank payments

* Petty cash management and reconciliation

* Liaising with colleagues, regarding any queries

* Processing expenses

* Intra Group Trading reconciliations

* Assisting with Audit and Year end procedures

* General accounts administration support to the finance team

Experience/ Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3 years experience, within a similar role

* Someone who is hands on and happy to support a small, fast paced, busy finance team

* Strong IT skills – particularly Excel

* Part Qualified or studying/ Qualified by experience

* Strong team player with an excellent attitude and professional character

* Experience in a fast-paced environment, completing work tasks with speed and accuracy in a detailed work environment


* Salary up to £26,000 per annum, dependant on experience.

* Full time hours – Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and 8am to 4pm on Friday
