The ideal role that you can ask for is interested in growth within Bookkeeping expertise , while working with a private construction firm.
Duties Involved:
* Complete tax compliance items, including BAS, payroll tax, IAS, PAYG
* Complete payroll and maintain payslip, holiday and leave requirements
* Follow company bookkeeping and accounting procedures
* AR Send and receive invoices for progress payments and variations to stakeholders
* Process superannuation payments
* Process weekly payments to creditors, including project and business invoices
* Maintain business asset registry
* Apply for supplier accounts * Create purchase orders
* Bank reconciliations
* Follow up on outstanding invoices
* Maintain and monitor shared accounts email
* Manage the receipt, payment and filing of invoices and ensure all data is entered correctly into accounting program
* Assist team members with any ad-hoc tasks as required and any other duties as assigned
Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:
* Minimum 2 years' Bookkeeping experience
* Experience using Xero is preferred
* Proven time management and organisational skills
* High-level attention to detail
* High-level problem-solving abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
* Tertiary education in finance/accounting/bookkeeping will be highly regarded
