Credit Control Manager

As Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of credit policies, credit risk management, debt recovery, and ensuring cash is collected as it falls due.

This 12-month Fixed Term role has overall responsibility for all areas of credit control including team management, account receivables collection and allocation, debt recovery processes, driving process improvements, engagement with members, trade teams, and customers for debt collection and providing debt recovery related guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include;
  • Utilising internally and externally generated data and insights in analysing and monitoring customers/ debtors and actively working to reduce delinquency, ensuring prompt action for non-payment and overdue debts
  • Managesprocesses for the recovery of debt, actively chasing aged debt and taking lead in reviewing the more contentious and difficult accounts
  • Agrees KPIs and team targets with line manager and delivers against them
  • Working with stakeholders to generate improvement ideas and actively participation in implementing new initiatives
  • Develop, coach and support a high performing team

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Good working knowledge of legal procedures to recover debts
  • Good working knowledge of general ledger, credit monitoring and accounts receivable systems (ideally SAP S/4HANA)
  • Extensive collection and debt recovery experience with large multi-site organisation
  • NZ Credit Management certifications or Qualification
