About the Team
The Driver Strategy & Operations team is responsible for managing all aspects of the delivery experience for the drivers ('Dashers') operating on our platform. Our mission is to be the fastest, most reliable, and most efficient platform for local commerce. At the same time, we're striving to become the preferred platform for anyone looking for flexible work in Australia & New Zealand.
The goal of our team is to ensure every delivery goes well. We prevent problems for Consumers by working across Driver operations, Merchant operations, and our logistics platform. We care about metrics like delivery times, lateness, cancellations, and missing and incorrect items.
About the Role
While there is no typical day for our Strategy & Operations roles, you'll be completing a variety of tasks such as devising and executing experiments to drive company growth, diving into data to explain market performance at the lowest level of detail, building reports, models, and tools that allow teams to scale their work 10x.
Your goal is to prevent problems with DoorDash deliveries through getting into the weeds and really understanding what's happening on the ground, developing a solution, then scaling that impact through working with our Engineering / Product / Marketing teams.

- Engage: Drive multiple cross-functional projects and implement scalable initiatives to sustain a world-class operation.

- Analyse: Build models to gain a deeper understanding of the business, find opportunities to improve performance and test hypotheses related to current key priorities for the business.
- Influence: Work cross-functionally with many teams like; Operations, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales to drive strategic initiatives and harness opportunities.

- 3+ years' experience and have succeeded in high-growth teams (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
- Proven analytical skills and can deliver actionable recommendations from complex datasets; advanced Excel skills are a must and familiarity with SQL is preferred.
- Problem solving skills that enable you to independently translate a high-level vision into measurable success metrics and actionable plans.
