The Global manufacturer of power train products is seeking an Accounting Manager.
This position is responsible for accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits.

The Global manufacturer of power train products is seeking an Accounting Manager.
This position is responsible for accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all accounting processes align with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ensure all documentation and actual execution of stated processes are in compliance with JSOX requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and any other financial, tax reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports, including a profit and loss statement and other necessary reports.
- Oversee the annual budgeting and planning process; review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep the management team abreast of the company's financial status.
- Develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts and present to management team.
- Provide proactive financial support and analysis for plant management.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets. Prepare depreciation schedules for fixed assets and record depreciation expense monthly.
- Manage the monthly and year-end financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
- Review and recommend modifications to the accounting system and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- Coordinate and participate in monthly physical inventory. Reconcile physical counts and prepare finished goods and material inventory reports.
- Other duties as assigned by the President.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years in the field of accounting, experience in an accounting managerial role a plus
- Experience with US GAAP, tax laws, and internal control best practice
- Experience supporting the financial closing process and analyzing financial statements
- Experience with inventory systems and conducting physical inventories
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment, automotive a plus
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Bilingual (English/Japanese), a plus
