Accounting Specialist

Job Summary:

This position will provide knowledge of accounting functions which will include preparing journal entries, analyzing, accounting reconciliations, and support month-end close. You will also support the Finance Manager in continued development of production, job, and program financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

-In charge of all accounting, reporting and GL maintenance for 4 corporate entities as assigned in accordance with US GAAP

-Project accounting including setup, budget maintenance, invoicing, and cash application

-Support special projects as assigned including accounting process improvement

-Prepare sales/use tax and property tax filings

-Maintain documentation and assist with various audits and/or reviews

-Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

-Associate degree in accounting

-At least 3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing or job costing environment preferred)

-Working knowledge of GAAP

-Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP systems proficiency preferred

-Strong proficiency in Excel including building financial statements, reporting dashboards
