Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on financials
• Assist in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans
• Research economic progressions to assist with the organization's financial planning
• Create annual budget templates
• Prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
• Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
• Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college / university during the duration of the internship. Other degrees are considered when accompanied by aptitude or interests in finance. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
• 1+ years of working with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc. as well as proficiency in other Office applications
