About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Fruitfed Supplies PGG Wrightson position of Product Manager - Machinery.
Reporting to the Fruitfed Supplies National Manager, this role is responsible for promoting and managing the sales, supply, service, and support for a range of horticultural machinery. This role will contribute to sales growth in conjunction with the Sales, Category and Supply Chain teams to achieve agreed levels of sales, and provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will assist in setting retail and other pricing arrangements, provide guidance around mitigating risk from both financial and H&S aspects, and ensure contractual arrangements are understood and followed. This role is the key contact for pricing, delivery, installation, commissioning and warranty claims. You will also plan for launching of new products and take part in promotional activities from time to time.

You will have a high level of commercial acumen, coupled with a sound understanding of the 'what happens on Orchard' and business development. A natural communicator, you will also be skilled in developing and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

About you

In addition, you will have the following:
- 5+ years of experience preferably in agriculture or horticulture, or a relevant sales qualification
- Strong experience in sales - preferably horticultural/rural systems or markets
- Monitor changes in market dynamics and the competitive environment to ensure ongoing success of your brand
- A track record of successful customer focus and negotiation skills gained in a customer facing sales (or similar role) would be preferred
- Ensure effective communication of sales and marketing programs to key stakeholders both internal and external
- Strong communication skills ie one on one, written, verbal, presenting to groups
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
