This position offers the potential to be a hybrid role with the majority of time worked remotely. Eastern Insurance Group is currently able to employ residents of the following states: CT, FL, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NC, RI & SC

The Benefits Group is seeking an Account Manager to provide employee group benefit support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing small sized accounts. The position will provide technical support and servicing of client accounts in the processing of new business acquisitions, and account maintenance renewal procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provides technical support and servicing of client accounts in the processing of new business acquisitions, and account maintenance renewal procedures.
  • Provide marketing of accounts and develop market strategy as required. Provide accurate information to underwriters and respond to client requests
  • Input of all client information into the network system as required by office standards and procedures. Monitor legislative compliance, and current client business activities
  • Provide quality professional service to client in all aspects, including member advocacy, and phases of existing insurance accounts in coordination with or in the absence of the Producer
  • Ability to perform all tasks assigned to an account assistant or account manager in the day-to-day servicing in a timely, accurate and professional manner
  • Monitor expiration lists and initiate renewal process
  • Develop, coordinate, and pull together client and insurance company renewal presentations and new account placement from start to finish
  • Present oral and written presentations to clients, client employees and prospects

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Skills
  • MA Life Accident & Health License required
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and math skills
  • Works is performed under indirect supervision
  • Handles moderately complex customer service problems
  • Good understanding of insurance agency business
  • Seeks assistance and/or input from department manager on an as needed basis
