Finance Graduate Scheme - Warwick

“What are you going to do after you finish university?” I’m sure you have been asked this overwhelming question over and over throughout your studies. Of course, you know you have options, but you may also feel like you’ll be thrown into an ocean with no idea what to do. Don’t feel lost. We have an offer for you!

We have our Finance Graduate scheme which will help you to build your career in Finance. You don’t need to have a degree in Finance or Economics. We welcome all grads from diverse backgrounds as we know diverse minds bring new ideas and a different way of thinking. Whilst we offer hybrid working, this role is based in Warwick.

Through the programme, you’ll undertake three 12-month placements, with the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of finance roles; including, but not limited to, transactional accounting, management reporting, regulation and supporting business partners. You may have an idea of what area of finance you’d like to specialise in, or you may not. Either way, our graduate programme will help you achieve your potential. You’ll also be given the option to work towards recognised accounting qualifications: you can choose to study either CIMA or ACCA, together with study leave provisions.

You will need to be a good communicator and be able to engage with people at every level. An interest in Finance and strong numerical ability is a must, but more important is your passion and drive to succeed.

About Us

This advert takes you through to the National Grid careers page, but this role will not be with National Grid. That’s because you’ll be joining the Gas Transmission business, which will be sold and become an independent organisation. We’ll have a name and a brand by the time you join us next year, just bear with us for now. This is something special. You’ll share in the growth and the success of the company. Sound interesting?

It’s not just a job we offer you here, we offer you a career too. We have a range of benefits that reward your great work. Your starting salary will be over £30K, together with a bonus scheme, a generous holiday allowance, as well as ‘welcome’ and ‘end-of-scheme’ payments.

A quick heads up, our assessment process will consist of a telephone interview, which we expect to happen between 14th and 24th November. If you’re successful in that then we’ll put you through to our assessment centre, which will be conducted in person on 12th December at our office in Warwick.

There you have it, thank you for reading what is probably the 117th graduate job advert you’ve looked at. Hopefully this sounds like something you’re interested in applying for. Hit that button and get your details over. Applications close on the 11th November, but we encourage you to apply early in case we decide to close slightly before then.
