Partner, Actuarial Services, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, New York, NY. Lead the Actuarial Services practice to provide audit and consulting services to Life and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance clients. Guide clients through modernization of their accounting and actuarial methodologies, process, data environments, systems and management information tools. Provide audit support to clients to ensure the financial information they report to the investing public and stakeholders is clear and reliable. Oversee the implementation of emerging financial reporting changes in GAAP (Long Duration Targeted Improvements, LDTI), IFRS, and U.S. statistics. Provide leadership in the delivery of high profile engagements ensuring PwC quality and integrity standards are achieved. Pursue permissible non-audit opportunities related to GAAP/IFRS standards and deliver services to address complex issues facing clients. Maintain commercially productive relationships with key decision makers in the actuarial community and represent the Life Actuarial practice externally with regard to trends and directions in financial reporting.

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $616,250 to $616,250/yr.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field, plus 12 years of related work experience, (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience).

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field, plus 10 years of related work experience.

 

Certification(s) Required: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, or foreign equivalent

 

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

 

- Leading large audit engagements requiring multinational coordination, collaboration with IT, Tax and Actuarial specialist in addition to scoping work and communicating details to stakeholders;

- Leading financial transformation requiring development of different methodologies and deployment of changes across general ledger, actuarial systems and operation systems to support the new methodologies;

- Partnering with C-level client stakeholders to address impact of emerging financial reporting changes to their business operations; and,

- Driving large-scale employee technical knowledge and digital upskilling, in order to support and expand practice area(s) focused on providing Actuarial Services client implementation solutions.

 

80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.

 

Travel up to 20% is required.
