Our approach to flexible working
We care about work that works, whether that’s about where you work or adjusting your hours to fit better with your life. Our flexible working practices, including our hybrid working model where you can split your working time between the office and your home, support our belief that this balance brings long-lasting benefits for our business as well as ensuring that our people can balance successful careers with their commitments and interests outside of work. So that you can love where you work, please discuss what works for you with your recruiter during the hiring process.
Accepting you, for you.
We want you to feel accepted for who you are and to feel safe, valued and to help us build a culture of true belonging. Experian is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and we take affirmative action to create a more inclusive and equitable world of work. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, ethnicity, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, Veteran status or whether you’re pregnant or on family leave.
Our vision for Global Finance is clear: as a world-class finance function, we confidently embrace the leap towards a fully digital finance function and constantly push to go further, faster. We seek to disrupt the ways we digitalise our finance processes and continue to embrace new and exciting technologies that put real-time data at our core.
To achieve this, we hire brilliant minds who are ambitious, but adaptable.
Our 3-year Finance Graduate programme will see you gain a solid foundation of knowledge in Year 1, before then moving into a new rotation in both years 2 & 3.
Rotations are subject to business area & demand, but here’s an idea of where you could land:
- Accounting & Control (Finance at Experian sits at the centre of the action as we work together with the wider business to deliver ambitious results)
- Forecasting & Operations (Producing monthly forecasts to aid the business in making informed decisions)
- Financial Planning & Analysis (Revenue forecasting, cost forecasting & digital reporting)
- Global Finance Services (Accounts Receivable, Strategic Client Support, controls and Compliance)
- Finance Systems (Digitisation & automation)
- Pricing Team (Commercial products & pricing)
- Group Tax (Tax return & invoicing)
As part of this programme, you will also study towards your fully funded CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification through a level 7 apprenticeship.
If you choose to join us, you’ll receive industry training, wide-reaching career opportunities and a wealth of support through our Early Careers Network, buddy, line manager & mentor scheme. You’ll also join onto our structured Graduate programme, which is packed with workshops, short-courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.
Our concept is simple. We believe in expanding horizons – it’s what makes Experian a global leader and a Top UK Tech Employer.
To be eligible to join this 3-year Graduate Programme, you’ll need:
- To have recently achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 degree classification in a related field.
- To have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least 3 years prior to starting the apprenticeship and have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) or have obtained pre-settled or settled status under EUSS. This is due to UK government apprenticeship funding rules.
Due to the technical nature of this role, a Bachelor’s degree in a numerical course is preferred (eg. Accounting & Finance / Maths / Data Analytics). If you don’t have a degree in those fields, that’s ok. If you have a real passion for finance and can demonstrate an understanding of how you would support a team and deliver results, we’d love to hear from you!
We look for great communicators and detail focused team players, who take a proactive approach to learning.
Application Closing Date: Sunday 20th November. We aim to respond to all applications no later than the week after the closing date.
Start Date: September 2023
For this role we aim to hold online Assessment Centres W/C 9th January 2023 (*Subject to change)
