As a Chief Analyst Programmer, you will be delivering incremental value in an agile team to design and build a banking experience that delivers value to our Customers.

What will your day look like

To achieve this you will:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional, high performing Agile team
  • Seek opportunities to coach and share your knowledge, playing a key role in developing the ability of engineers in our teams
  • Be a key escalation point for technical questions in your team, guiding and supporting the scrum team with implementation decisions and design
  • Collaborate with Lead Engineers and other Chief Analyst Programmers to ensure the right standards are in place and followed to ensure code is simple, maintainable, scalable, performant and secure
  • Drive change and improvements in Development, test automation and the continuous delivery spaces, improving software quality, delivering software faster and more reliably

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring/ be/ have the following:

  • You will have proven experience working as a Senior Engineer/Chief Analyst Programmer in agile environments, and you'll be expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes, tools, strategy, and methodology.
  • You will be comfortable with progressing through uncertainty.
  • You will have a pragmatic approach with a focus on quality mixed in, including keeping our Platform healthy and performant
  • Passion for following and sharing software engineering principles, practices, and patterns for keeping a highly maintainable code base Technical leadership/guidance
  • Extensive Node.js knowledge
  • Rest APIs, API development and integration (REST/JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, Eventing and messaging)
  • Experience with building and maintaining microservices Database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle) Container-based platform experience (Openshift 3.x)
  • Linux
  • CI/CD pipeline automation (Jenkins)
  • Testing - unit, acceptance TDD / BDD
  • DevOps knowledge
  • Validated learning using lean thinking
  • Configuring continuous integration, deployment, and delivery tools like Jenkins
  • Container-based development using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift
  • Instrumenting monitoring and logging of applications
  • Microservice architectures
  • Cloud services like AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Infrastructure as code
