Our clients, an Accountancy Firm in Lincoln are currently recruiting for an Audit Senior to join their already successful team.

The Audit Senior reports directly to a Department Manager. You will assist the Directors and Associates in the provision of accountancy, audit, tax and other services to clients including assisting with the management of workflow and supervision, management, and training of team members as required.

As an Audit Senior, your role will include:

Undertaking and planning limited company audits, and specialist audits for manager and director review

Preparation of audit committee reports and reporting to those charged with governance

Preparing accounts and tax returns

Preparing complex VAT returns/reviewing VAT returns

Tax planning

Assisting in training, mentoring, supervising and developing team members in all areas of general practice work

Communicating with clients via telephone, email or in person

When required, be able to produce forecasts and budgets to assist clients in their business and finance planning

Preparing self-assessment tax returns and computations by examination of client’s financial records and producing accurate draft documents

Preparation of bills and assisting in the managing of work in progress by discussing with your Line Manager and taking appropriate action; and Supervising and training more junior members of the team whilst on site and reviewing their work

To be considered for this Audit Senior position, you will need the following:

5 years experience

Experience with Xero or Iris software

AAT qualified, working towards ACA, ACCA or equivalent and at least partially qualified

Experience of working in practice

Ability to plan and complete audit work to a high standard

Knowledge of complex accounting disclosures

An excellent understanding of Ethical Standards, and International Auditing Standards

In return, our client is offering the successful Audit Senior the following:

Flexi-time between the hours of 7.00 am and 7.00 pm (core business hours are 9.30 am to 2.30 pm) with the consideration of partial home-working

Basic salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience

33 days of holiday a year (full-time equivalent) inclusive of public/ bank holidays
