We are looking for a talented tax specialist to support our Tax Manager and to work in tandem with our accounting and audit business units. In this role you will assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The position requires Trust and Tax administration, including the filing of corporate and individual returns. If you are an analytical, detail orientated person who enjoys solving complex problems, this might be the role you have been looking for
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare, process, and maintain paperwork related to all aspects of the Trust administration process
· Deceased estate administration, including reporting of estate, collecting assets and distribution of assets to heirs
· Be responsible for the Tax administration process
· Liaising with SARS on behalf of clients
· Completion and submission of tax returns (i.e., ITR12, VAT201, IRP6, etc)
· Advise and attend to clients on VAT, PAYE and income tax queries
· Completion and submission of tax clearance certificate applications
· Maintain written and oral communication between the client and SARS
· Preparation and submission of disputes, suspension of payments with SARS and payment arrangements
· Registration and deregistration of various taxes, and activation e-Filing
· Stay up to date with changing tax codes and accounting laws
· Conduct research on tax compliance issues

- Bilingual - Afrikaans and English
- Grade 12
- Tax relevant qualification will be an advantage
- Proven track record as a tax specialist and estate administrator
- Experience in Trust administration
- Accounting background
- Able to work under pressure
- Extensive knowledge of accounting methods and tax law,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with relevant accounting software
- e-Filling and SARS experience
