The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure all accounting activities within the individual's area of control are completed in an accurate and timely manner, providing quality support to leverage the business to maximise their partnering activities.
Responsibilities
- Timely reporting and analysis of financial data internally to business stakeholders and within wider finance team
- Financial reporting will extend to forecasts, budgets, and reporting to local functions, together with completion of certain balance sheet reconciliations each month
- The individual will be involved in co-ordination and posting of regional allocations including but not limited to IT, Insurance, RES, and Management and License Fees and including other compliance matters
- Responsible for the preparation of overhead budgets, rolling forecast and mid-year forecast, with agreement of local functions, working in conjunction with the business including the Hyperion uploads relating to these deliverables
- Assisting with internal and external audits, working in conjunction with the business, to ensure ongoing queries and information requests are completed in a timely and proper manner
- Reconcile unbilled, unearned and accruals balance sheet recs working with the business to explain the nature and age of balances and movements from prior month and resolution plan for clearance
- Reconciliation of intercompany transactions, other general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Collaborating with Shared Services (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll as required
- Preparation of the entity's tax compliance including BAS, Payroll Tax, Workcover and FBT obligation for review
- Assist in tax compliance with Income Tax Return preparation and Transfer Pricing documentation
- Support Group Tax Manager with internal / external reporting and compliance related tasks and activities
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls
- Monthly reconciliation of company credit cards
- Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required
- CPA qualified or working towards
- Hyperion and Oracle experience an advantage
- Good excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
