Job Details

RELX is looking for its future CFO – could this be you? Our three-year-long finance graduate programme will give you the opportunity to explore a range of different areas in the finance function, helping you achieve a well-rounded foundation to kickstart your career. We will also support you in the completion of either the ACA or CIMA qualification.

RELX develops information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers in the Scientific, Technical & Medical, Risk, Legal and Exhibitions sectors. RELX has a global reach, being a FTSE 100 company with over 33,000 employees.

The RELX Finance Graduate Programme is the perfect way to start your career in finance with a multi-national company. We are looking for passionate, analytical graduates with strong communication skills and a drive to challenge the status quo, to join us in our office in London. During this three-year programme, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience with a variety of global teams in different finance functions. You will typically complete three 12-month placements in a selection of the following functions:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Financial Reporting
  • Audit
  • Tax
  • Business Partnering
  • Decision Support

We will also support you to complete a professional accountancy qualification (ACA or CIMA) with tuition and exam costs, as well as study leave. You will also have twice yearly goals and study reviews to monitor your progress with the qualification and to ensure your professional development is progressing in your desired direction.

Apply if you:

  • Are a recent graduate, or will graduate in 2023
  • Have achieved or are expected to achieve a 2.1 or above, preferably in a relevant discipline
  • Have obtained a minimum of 3 A levels (or equivalent), as well as a A* or A in GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
  • Are comfortable using standard office software, especially Excel
  • Are passionate to learn - you will receive on-the-job training for any additional software packages/platforms you are expected to use

We continuously strive to ensure our work is sustainable and since the start of the year, RELX has achieved a AAA MSCI ESG rating for a sixth consecutive year; moved up to first in its industry sector in Sustainalytics ESG rankings; and improved its ranking to third in the Responsibility100 Index, which measures the FTSE 100 against the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Career development is highly important to us and we take our professional development process (the “Enabling Performance” process) very seriously; we want you to learn and progress quickly in the direction you want to go and we will provide you with the training and support to achieve that at the right pace. The great thing about RELX career-wise is that we’re a business made up of leading providers of information and analytics for a wide array of customer and markets. This breadth will enable you to develop in several dimensions: vertically through the business, across different products/markets, and across different functions within finance. We’re also a global business and on occasions we are able to offer overseas opportunities either as secondments or on a permanent basis.

General RELX benefits package

  • Regular incremental pay progression as experience and professional qualification progresses
