Want to make a real impact at the heart of our commercial finance operation and truly understand how a business works? This role is for you, working close with our sales, marketing, and operations teams across our international & UK business units. Hybrid role based at our central London HQ.
Purpose of the role: Provide streamlined processes and insight into business spend by controlling, facilitating, and monitoring all commercial and marketing spend transactions. Ownership of group customer pricing process and maintenance to ensure invoice accuracy. Ensuring customer and business profitability by providing standard profit pool analysis

Key Skills

  • Coordinate and consolidate price support and customer marketing spend across Quintessential Brands business units on monthly basis. Post cost to the Profit & Loss accounts.
  • Full balance sheet reconciliation of price support and customer marketing accounts
  • Prepare product profit pool analysis for given customer(s), presenting to commercial and marketing team for final decision. Providing challenge to ensure minimum profit margins are achieved.
  • Coordinate customer pricing changes for all markets, ensuring correct prices are loaded and reflected on invoices for effective dates. Provide rigour on changes to ensure no errors and challenge those flagged as unusual with sales team.
  • Continuous aim to streamline and improve all processes, with goal of IT automation where applicable.
  • Supporting the wider commercial finance team with ad hoc projects.

The Perfect Serve - A Bit About You

  • No professional accounting qualifications required. University degree to be at 2:1 standard with subject containing numerical content. No prior work experience required
  • Rudimentary knowledge of MS Excel product. Only basic functionality used.
  • Draws together data and presents in a logical format with suitable steps in place to validate correct data.
  • Ability to identify the problem and provide recommendations to resolve.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Initiates, encourages & implements incremental step change. Takes a proactive approach. Anticipates obstacles
  • Expresses ideas clearly and concisely. Is respectful to others. Brings others together to resolve differences.
