Job Details

The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing advanced accounting support to the Finance Department. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for providing accounting support, including managing the AP/AR, preparation and submittal of monthly financial reporting, sales tax filings, and related accounting duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Use Tax Payment and Management - maintain copy of Sales Tax Exemption as needed, make sure sales tax tables are up to date and remit payments on time
  • Maintain inventory integrity through invoicing by reconciling with a bill to headquarter or other appropriate documentation. Research and resolve invoicing issues with customers
  • Accounts Payable - audit, enter and pay bills on schedule. Payables include both internal (expense reports, invoices from headquarter) and external (headquarter, utilities, etc.)
  • Accounts Receivable / Account Aging Management - follow up on payments. Review aging with Staff Accountant regularly. Keep weekly collections aging file. Communicate any collection concerns to Controller
  • Monthly bank reconciliations including merchant service and company credit cards
  • Responsible for monthly and year end close into Consolidation tool, including reports and reconciliations
  • Perform Monthly and Annual Intercompany Reconciliations
  • Automobile renewals
  • Maintain inventory list and coordinate with sales and service department
  • Calculates and processes sales commissions
  • Adheres to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and Regulatory standards, policies and practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification:
  • 5-7 years esperience in an accounting role
  • QuickBooks required
  • GAAP, accrual basis accounting, financial reporting, and P&L/balance sheet experience
  • Experience with Cognos, Hyperion, Lucanet or other consolidation software diesired
  • Excel proficiency
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Travel on a very limited basis

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
