Job Details

We're currently searching for a Staff Accountant/Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist the Director and the Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and the Hotels Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners/investors assets. For this role, the emphasis is placed on completing the month end closes, maintaining and analyzing general ledgers, preparing account reconciliations as well as implementing improvements to department processes.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Experience with hotel accounting for a minimum of 1 to 3 years.
Must be familiar with GAAP Accounting and have strong understanding of the general ledger process.
Knowledge of systems such as HMS/Infogenesis/Birchstreet preferred.
Knowledge of SUN accounting platform preferred.
Ability to proactively communicate and work effectively with hotel staff, corporate management, and internal customers.
Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
A team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented.
