We are looking for an experienced Data & Insights Manager who will help build, drive and enhance the Data & Analytics offering to RLC and our CCOs with the aim of supporting positive outcomes for our community and organisation.

A high-level data strategy has been developed, and you will refine this, create a road-map and take it through to execution.

This role is responsible for maximising the value of data that can be extracted from the wide scope of data sets and sources created and available for Council use.

To be considered for this role you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have a minimum of 5 -10 years' experience working and leading a data and analytics team. You will need to have proven experience in communicating with all levels of stakeholders, as well as experience in managing external agencies and vendors for performance.

Knowledge of the requirements and processes of local government and experience in having been actively involved in organisational change initiatives would be an advantage.

All staff at Rotorua Lakes Council are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, (including all booster vaccinations when eligible), and this is a requirement for this role.

Te Kaunihera o nga Roto o Rotorua (Rotorua Lakes Council) is committed to working in partnership with Te Arawa, our local iwi. We aspire to being a bicultural organisation and we value staff who speak te reo Maori, have an appreciation of Maori values, and a working knowledge of tikanga Maori.

This is a unique opportunity that will provide you with challenging work, while operating alongside intelligent and motivated professionals.
