About the Company:

Our client was founded in the 1980s and provides premium quality California produce to food service, industrial, and retail customers. They started as a small shipping and packing house and have grown into a large-scale operation! They are looking to add an Accounting Assistant to their growing team. This position is Monday-Friday in the office.

Overview of the Accounting Assistant role:
  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Create and update expense reports
  • Process reimbursement forms
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases
  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
  • Review and file payroll documents
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits

Preferred qualifications for the Accounting Assistant:
  • 1+ years working in an accounting role
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Organization skills
