Below is a usual description of the duties, responsibilities, and requirements that our clients look for in an indirect tax consultant. These roles are typically on-site, last 3-6 months or longer if an extension is requested by the client, occasionally have the potential to convert to permanent, and compensation is normally up to $31 per hour.

Job Functions

• Performing research on different localities' sales tax regulations
• Reconciling tax due to different states with amount accrued
• Assisting with handling of local indirect tax audits
• Preparing and filing sales and use tax returns

The ideal candidate for this outstanding opportunity will have:

• Experience with tax accounting (public accounting or corporate accounting)
• Knowledge of a variety of states' sales and use tax regulations
• Vertex Indirect Tax software experience
• Track record of job stability
