SNI Financial's top client is immediately seeking to hire a talented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist on a full-time, direct-hire basis. This position is located at the Centennial, CO headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • AP:
    • Processing vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests for approval
    • Initiate all payments for review and approval (vendor, employee, and broker payments)
    • Maintain W-9's and other information for vendors
    • Help to prepare 1099's for all vendors
    • Process commission statements for insurance brokers
    • Initiate electronic transfers / check payment batches for approvals by Sr Accountants or Controllers
    • Assist as needed in the processing of deposits and lockbox batches as needed
  • AR:
    • Reviewing daily cash account activity for anything unusual
    • Generating invoice claims files for billing and submitting to customers (10-day cycle)
    • Running monthly billings process
    • Some phone/email support to customers for account balances, payment history, and account set up
    • Posting ACH or wire transfers for customers
    • Sending past-due notices as necessary
    • Run delinquency reports, generating termination and collection letters as needed
    • Monthly/Quarterly account reconciliations


Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience as AR/AP Specialist or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and principles
  • Great time management. Organizational skills
  • Dental insurance industry knowledge is a plus
  • Requires a successful credit background check
  • Attention to detail, analytical and math skills, communication skills, basic EFT banking skills, MS Office suite (mainly Excel) skills


Other:
  • Process: Initial video screen with recruiter, then zoom with HR team, then final round with Accounting team via zoom or on-site
  • Required in-office 1 day/week minimally (Tuesdays preferred), welcome to come in more if preferred as well
  • No accounting degree requires 5-7 years of strong AP or AR experience


Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position is in the range of minimally $52K (with room for flexibility) + 5% annual bonus potential + full benefits.
