This person will be responsible reviewing account balance reconciliations, assisting with the oversight of capital asset and prepaid expense management, reviewing month-end close procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP (including implementation of new accounting standards), and financial reporting. The ideal candidate combines a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts with a practical knowledge of operational accounting.

Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and/or prepare various reconciliations, schedules, and reports.
- Drive the successful completion of the close process monthly.
- Support and interact with various levels of staff to obtain information and/or resolve reporting issues.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, practices, and procedures.
- Prepare general ledger intercompany journal entries as needed.
- Lead the primary financial audit with the preparation of schedules and workpapers required, including ASC 606 and ASC 842 workpapers.
- Assist the CAO in special projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in accounting is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role, supervisory experience preferred.
- Understanding of GAAP and other reporting standards.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionally within a remote team.
- Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative and innovative
- Proven ability to complete goals/projects on time
- Excellent computer skills with common office applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting/month-end close/reporting)
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, preferred.
