- Ensure reporting requirements contained within relevant Operational Risk/Barclays Control Framework/Operations of Committees Policies & Standards are applied across regional Controls reporting
- Act as key stakeholder/contact point to the teams supporting Asia Issues, Risk Event Governance and Control Environment reporting, ensuring that any challenges or queries are addressed/answered and any change requirements are clearly understood and implemented
- Support the management of issues and actions as required ensuring timely completion and effective accountability within the relevant Teams.
- Regularly assess the impact of new/upcoming ORAC Changes to internal regional Control environment reporting and external (regulatory) Risk Event Reporting, including any changes in the way the upstream data systems feed into ORAC
- Reporting logics - review regularly Regional (ACM) vs. Country/Legal entity Control reports to ensure consistency, drive ongoing simplification to increase reporting accuracy and facilitate delivery of a strategic reporting solution.
- Conduct periodic reviews as to the appropriateness of the current Governance Framework across the region, ensuring this aligns with the Enterprise Risk Management & Barclays Control Frameworks, ensuring changes are reflected in the Asia CCO SharePoint site
- Develop and deliver against the BI portfolio of work for area of coverage, leading on key initiatives assigned
- Understand and be able to assess the impact that strategic/regulatory change and continuous improvement initiatives have upon the control environment - working with and supporting stakeholders to ensure risks are fully understood and appropriate mitigating controls in place.
- Provide robust, effective and insightful reporting, analysis and communication to provide assurance to key stakeholders that the business is compliant with the defined governance framework, with effective escalation of issues as appropriate
- Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders and ensure regular updates are provided related to BAU/BOW items
- Understanding of the regional operational and regulatory environment and its impact leading to proactive assessment of regulatory exposure and supporting management in escalating concerns.
What we are looking for:
- Have detailed knowledge of ERMF, ORF, and BCF, and their related policies and standards, including their stakeholders, governance and reporting requirements
- Experience in a risk and/or control function/role in either the first, second or third lines of defence.
- Ability to identify, analyse and interpret control issues and potential non-compliance against BCF framework, policy and/or standards
- Excellent attention to detail and be comfortable to make suggestions to peers; leadership teams and across operational teams
- Excellent written communications skills needed to supplement reporting commentary and wide range of report production
- Data Deep Dives - Able to identify appropriate colleagues to explain the why. Ability to analyse datasets to form a holistic understanding of key insights, applying personal domain expertise to pose credible hypotheses as to why trends occur
- Ability to manipulate, interrogate and interpret data in order to form an opinion, make a recommendation or solve a problem.

- Good relationship and stakeholder management skills across the organisation
- Strong working knowledge of the regulations and standards of relevant industry bodies and organizations.
- Experience of continuous process and control improvement for both efficiency and risk management purposes.
