This growth is driving the need for an experienced leader in AISPL, the local seller for AWS in India, to fill this high-profile position.

We're looking for a hands-on and motivated self-starter who's passionate about using data to help us measure every area of the business and influence decision-making. In this role, the Head - India Sales Operations, AISPL will work with India, APJ and WW teams to develop and execute the India strategy, continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses - all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This role will work with other AISPL leaders to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize Business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
The Head - India Sales Operations will drive the management cadence of the business and own the management system. The role drives improvements and updates to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data for our customers. This position also manages the initial proposal, administration and execution of the regions targets and goals, headcount plans, including market segmentation, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results. The successful candidate must be able to roll-up his/her sleeves, and work directly with the models/data. He/she will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. He/she will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. He/she will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytics insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal parties. Active collaboration with leadership in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation teams will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. He/she will help drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Operations, AISPL in India, the candidate will:
. Work with senior leadership to define the India strategy and run the management cadence for the business
. Manage a team of 4 - 7 individual contributors
. Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery/presentation of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions
. Working with the management, lead the initial proposal of annual goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
. Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, performance against goals, etc.
. Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making, and minimize overall report burden.
Lead the modelling and development of recommendations for opportunity sizing, allocations, and alignments
. Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd party data sources as needed for analytics
. Drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to AWS's management team
. Manage the administration and execution of the team's goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various sales processes involving alignment between multiple teams
. Provide operational insight to our businesses, and our growth initiatives, supporting the Head of Strategy and Business Operations, AISPL in India, in day to day operational activities, and providing additional analytical insight to other India Senior Leadership Team members as required based on strategic projects identified.


Responsibilities:

. Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery/presentation of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions across AISPL
. Working with sales management, lead the annual Goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
. Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to AISPL senior management regarding strategic initiatives, partner segment performance, performance against goals, etc. Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making, and minimize overall report burden.
. Lead the modelling and development of recommendations for partner coverage/capacity/competency planning aligned with targeted customer segmentation/verticals. Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd party data sources as needed for Analytics.
. Manage the India Sales Operations Leads and Central Operations function

Basic Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in Business Planning, Operations, Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience hiring and managing high-performing teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and driving projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Written and verbal communication skills - can provide information to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Business process and system design experience
  • Proven history of complex program management and organisational change management
  • Experience leading the development of department strategy
  • Past experience in prioritisation of deliverables and tasks

Preferred Qualifications :
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial .
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tools utilised for CRM, sales planning, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc. Expert level in Excel and Data query tools
  • Experience working within a high-growth technology company. Strong business-process design experience
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organisation, and to create a vision and organisation that can scale quickly
  • Experience rapidly growing organisation and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
  • Proven problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with or as a sales representative
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
