Our Commercial Finance team in NZ plays an integral role in supporting business performance by partnering with our Sales team to drive commercial results, managing risks to revenue & profit delivery and optimisation of trade investment programmes.

You will be providing financial analysis and commercial decision support to our New Zealand sales leadership team. You will build and execute management KPI reporting, drive trade spend and mix optimisation, challenge forecast assumptions and work alongside business stakeholders to maintain a high standard of financial control and integrity.

You enjoy converting data into actionable insights to support effective decision making by key business stakeholders. What sets you apart is your ability to see the trends behind the numbers, produce insights, identify business opportunities, and add value through your analysis and influence.

How you will contribute

You will:
  • Execute aspects of finance planning and performance management to influence commercial decision making, including annual planning, monthly forecasting, target development, performance reporting / analysis, financial modelling, and decision support.
  • Provide clarity on financial commitments and progress to Sales stakeholders across key performance metrics (Net Revenue, Trade Spend, Standard Profit) and drive accountability to ensure delivery of targets.
  • Support ROI reviews and drive optimisation of trade spend programs.
  • Support portfolio reviews to optimise channel and product mix to drive margin improvement.
  • Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of your Finance peers.
  • Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment in area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies.
  • Execute ad hoc analyses and projects as requested by Senior Leadership.
  • Support projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement.

  • Finance experience in formative years (CA, CPA or CIMA)

  • Solid understanding of Profit and Loss and balance sheet
  • Proactive, agile, problem solving, drive for results, decision quality, time management
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint skills and SAP knowledge

Education / Certifications:

Degree level or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Commerce and/or Chartered Accountant
