Who are we?

We are a rapidly growing, VC-backed, FinTech start-up creating an entirely new sector in the UK Financial Services space; Taxes-as-a-service! We are solving the inefficiencies of the U.K. tax receivables market.

Adsum calculates, files, and advances your tax reclaims.

The role at a glance

• Supervising, supporting, and training staff, in corporate tax and providing constructive feedback and solutions to the management team.
• Above all else, your focus will be to review and deliver the smart calculations for external users on R&D and Creative Industry tax credits claims that relate to different industries
• Research, analyse and interpret changing tax legislation in the UK and keep well-informed on R&D and Creative Industry tax credits updates. Our users love on-point, straightforward information that they can rely on.
• Answer ad hoc R&D and Creative Industry tax queries about different activities and sectors. Provide the support that our users deserve.
• While this is a role is managing the Adsum’s finance team providing R&D tax advice and ensuring our system is perfect, 10% of your time will be spent in an external user/client-facing role.

Our perfect match

• 5 or more years in a R&D and Creative Industry tax-related field as a specialist in R&D Corporate Tax Claims and other tax credits
• Experienced in helping to secure companies’ rebates from HMRC for Corporate Tax Incentive as well as experienced in securing in the field of Research & Development and Creative Industry Tax Credits
• Passionate about change and innovation
• A real problem solver that thrives in an agile start-up environment, where no day is the same
• Willing to travel to our offices in Hammersmith. While we offer flexible working, this role is not suitable to be fully remote.
