What you will be doing  

You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a Cost and Value Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following: 

• Drive projects together with our supplier to optimize our products and create valuable insights into their value stream. You will create transparency and use your Analytical Skills to improve the Procurement and Supply Chain Performance.

• Understand the technical specification of a part or scope, create Target Costing with state of the art Software and build a tandem with strategic procurement during the negotiations by representing the cost engineering view.

• Usage of Costing Tool Faction Should Cost, Business Intelligence Tools e.g. Power BI, CAD Software Catia V5, SAP, Business Warehouse and common Office/Google Suite tools 

• You will get insight into different suppliers within our Supply Chain landscape, get a deep understanding of various manufacturing technologies and their cost structure, learn to lead Projects E2E and will have a high visibility within our management.  

What we look for 

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to  demonstrate; 

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study 

• Maximum of three years relevant work experience 

• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)

• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation

• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development. 

What you will need to apply

Degree type:

• University degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Specific experience or interests: 

• Team player with entrepreneurial mindset, good communication and presentation skills at all levels 

• Basic experience in project management with very good strategic skills. 

• Willingness to some travel for business reasons as required.
