Following the retirement of the current post holder, an opportunity is available for a part-time School Accountant to work within our small, friendly Finance team, based within the school's Finance Department, from October 2022.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a relevant accounting qualification and experience of working in a SME finance team or SME based within an educational organisation or similar.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the daily operations of the school Finance and Accounting function, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. In addition, they will be an active and hands-on part of a small team and promote an ethos of teamwork and instil a culture of continuous improvement.

We are currently seeking applications for this post, working on a 22.5 hours per week basis across four or five days. Core working hours are generally between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.00 pm and we can offer a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.

The salary for this post will depend upon the qualifications and experience of the appointed candidate. However, it will range from £27,000- £30,000 based on 22.5 hours per week (£45,000-£50,000, full-time equivalent).

Candidates should note that all appointments are subject to a routine enhanced check with the DBS. Children of members of staff, subject to passing the entrance exam and the availability of places, may be educated at King's with a discount on fees in the Juniors and Senior Division.
