Salary:
circa £70,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role
Are you a commercially minded Senior Financial Accounting Manager capable of leading and managing statutory reporting initiatives across Finance and the wider business? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you progress your finance career and ensure that our financial performance remains strong.

Working closely with our Director of Corporate Finance and through effective leadership of your team, your responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:

* Leading the accurate preparation and consolidation of Midland Heart's audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

* Assessing and embedding of accounting changes that ensure our tax compliance activities are being fulfilled.

* Working directly with auditors to ensure that timetables and informational requirements are being met.

* Ensuring accounting policies comply with legislative and auditing requirements, proper accounting procedures are maintained, and strong controls are embedded within the department.

Our ideal candidate?

* A qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, ACMA or CIPFA).

* Significant experience of financial accounting, managing external audits and statutory reporting processes (within the housing sector would be advantageous).

* Experience of leading and motivating a team of Finance professionals.

* Experience of improving systems and processes, particularly around accounts production and capital accounting.
