We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a French speaking Accounts Assistant to join a world leading technology company, working on their accounts operations for France and Switzerland. For the last 40 years they have created some of the worlds most impressive and ground breaking developments in modern technology, working with some amazing clients. LOCATIONHemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (25 minutes from central London by train). Technology park location, free transfer to office. A remote / hybrid job, 3 days in the office, 2 remote each week. LANGUAGESFluent in French is essential

COMPANYBased out of fantastic offices, our client is a world leader in their area of technology, working with major clients across the world from all industry sectors.

THE JOBIn order to assist with the entries to the ledger for their markets of France and Switzerland, they wish to recruit a French speaking Accounts Assistant. Your role will include the following duties and

responsibilities:

  • Preparation and entry of journals as required
  • Support Local controllership throughout month end close process
  • Produce financial metrics
  • Maintain journal logs and journal files
  • Responsible for Cash book daily preparation and reconciliations to GL
  • Preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations (Inc. Bank, AR, AP)
  • Preparation of VAT and Intrastat returns
  • Inventory, Purchasing Sub Ledger closes and reconciliations to GL
  • Responsible for the submission of statutory statistical returns
  • Assist in the payroll preparation process
  • Support AP and AR functions as needed
  • Support local control team as needed on finance projects and other ad-hoc tasksPreparation and submission of journals together with journal backup for approval

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Fluent in French is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good organisation and planning ability
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

SALARY & BENEFITS£29,000 - £32,000 and superb benefits ( 25 days holiday , Private Medical Insurance paid for employee, Income Protection, Life Assurance, Employer contributory pension , Annual bonus - performance and company based 4% of salary after eligibility)
